Registration

Aginfonet.com offers benefits to users who choose to register with the website. During registration you will be asked to enter your e-mail address, postal code and some general information about your farming operation (total cultivated acres, types of crop grown, and livestock owned). We will use this information to help us better determine what types of knowledge, products and services to provide to you. We do not use this information to create individual visitor profiles.

Aginfonet.com does not disclose or sell any information provided by registered users to any third parties. You will, however be asked if you wish to receive information from Aginfonet.com and/or our business partners. You will only be contacted if you request to receive this information. This information will be sent directly to you by Aginfonet.com - our business partners never gain direct access to any personally identifiable information provided by registered users.

Registration is optional and is not required to access some information services on the website. It is required to post ads in the buy and sell, enter some of the contests hosted on the site, and to customize markets reports.

Special Offers

We send all new registrants a welcoming e-mail to verify password and username. Once registered, you will occasionally receive information on products, services, special offers, and a newsletter. Out of respect for the privacy of our users we present the option to not receive these types of communications.

Surveys & Contests

From time-to-time our website requests information from users via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Managing Personal Information

If you are a registered user and your personally identifiable information changes (such as your postal code), you can correct, update or remove your personal data. Simply click on the "Login" or "myaginfonet.com" button, and choose the option "Edit Profile". This will take you to an on-line form with your registration information, where you can update any necessary information. Once you have finished, click on "Save Changes" to have your profile automatically updated.

Choice/Opt-out

Users of our website are always notified when their information is being collected by any outside parties. We do this so our users can make an informed choice as to whether they should proceed with services that involve an outside party, or not.

Sharing

We will share aggregated demographic information with our partners and advertisers. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify an individual person.
